Robin Kimber (Conductor) was born in Trieste and began his musical career as a chorister at Bury St. Edmunds Cathedral. He read music as organ scholar at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, then studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He returned to Oxford as organist at the University Church and assistant at Christ Church Cathedral. He was appointed organist at the Sheldonian, and still plays for degree ceremonies. He has been Director of Music at St. James's, Sussex Gardens since 1985 and pursues a varied career as conductor, recitalist and continuo player. He can be heard playing the St. James’s organ in the film Shadowlands.
Elizabeth Shepherd (Accompanist) works as both performer and repetiteur with singers, instrumentalists and many leading choirs including Crouch End Festival Chorus, Philharmonia Chorus, Hertfordshire Chorus, Harlow Chorus and Cantate Youth Choir. She has appeared at most of London’s major concert halls and made various television and radio broadcasts. She has toured widely in Central Europe and gave a concert in Dubai before the ruling family. Performing highlights have included the piano solos in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Lambert The Rio Grande, Pärt Credo, Kashif Queen Symphony, and Lutoslavski Paroles Tissées at a BBC prom.
